Why WFS Fulfillment Costs May Show as $0 for Recent Orders

If you are reviewing recent sales data in Sellegr8, you may sometimes see WFS Fulfillment Costs displayed as $0 for recent orders.

This does not always mean Walmart did not charge fulfillment fees. In many cases, it means Walmart has not released the final fulfillment cost data yet.

Because WFS fulfillment costs affect net profit, profit for recent dates may appear higher than the final amount until Walmart releases the updated cost data.

Why this happens

Sellegr8 receives WFS fulfillment cost information from Walmart’s Reconciliation Report.

Walmart releases the Reconciliation Report every other week. Because of this reporting schedule, fulfillment costs for recent orders may not be available immediately.

For example, if the latest available Reconciliation Report only includes orders through May 29, then orders from June 1–7 may still show $0 for WFS Fulfillment Costs until Walmart releases the next report.

Does this mean profit is wrong?

For recent date ranges, net profit may be temporarily overstated if WFS fulfillment costs have not been released yet.

Sellegr8 can only calculate actual WFS fulfillment costs after Walmart provides that information in the Reconciliation Report.

Once Walmart releases the updated report, Sellegr8 will use the actual WFS fulfillment costs from Walmart and update the profit calculations accordingly.

Why does Sellegr8 not estimate this automatically?

WFS fulfillment costs can vary depending on the item, order, and Walmart’s final reported charges.

To avoid showing estimated numbers as actual Walmart costs, Sellegr8 uses the official data provided by Walmart once it becomes available.

Workaround: Use Fixed Fulfillment Costs

If you want recent profit reports to be more accurate before Walmart releases the Reconciliation Report, you can use the Fixed Fulfillment Costs field.

This allows you to enter an estimated fulfillment cost for each item.

When actual WFS fulfillment cost data is not yet available from Walmart, Sellegr8 can use the fixed cost as an estimate so your net profit is closer to reality.

How to update Fixed Fulfillment Costs

To update the Fixed Fulfillment Cost for a product:

1. Go to Products.
2. Find the product you want to update.
3. Click the Edit icon — the pencil icon next to the product.
4. Update the value in the Fulfillment Cost field.
5. Save your changes.

After this value is updated, Sellegr8 can use it as an estimated fulfillment cost when Walmart’s actual WFS fulfillment cost data is not yet available.

When should I use Fixed Fulfillment Costs?

Use Fixed Fulfillment Costs if:

• You frequently review recent profit data before Walmart releases the next Reconciliation Report.
• You want a more realistic profit estimate for recent orders.
• You know the approximate WFS fulfillment cost for your items.
• You want to avoid profit being temporarily overstated while waiting for Walmart’s official data.
• You are fulfilling the items by yourself or using a service other than WFS.

What happens when Walmart releases the actual data?

Once Walmart releases the Reconciliation Report with the actual WFS fulfillment costs, Sellegr8 will use Walmart’s official fulfillment cost data.

The Fixed Fulfillment Cost is mainly useful as a temporary estimate while the official Walmart data is not yet available.

Example

Suppose today you are reviewing sales from June 1–7.

The latest Walmart Reconciliation Report available to Sellegr8 only includes orders through May 29.

In this case, WFS Fulfillment Costs for June 1–7 may show as $0 because Walmart has not released those costs yet.

If you entered a Fixed Fulfillment Cost for each item, Sellegr8 can use that fixed cost as an estimate until Walmart provides the actual numbers.
